INFOTEL, the national ICT exhibition organized by the Federation of IT Industry Sri Lanka (FITIS) will have its 2014 edition under the theme of a smarter tomorrow. Originated in 1992 INFOTEL is Sri Lanka’s biggest and one of the pioneering exhibitions in South Asia. The event will take place at BMICH from October 24th to 26th.
INFOTEL has been the place for ICT firms to display new products and a substantial number of regular participants comprising corporate executives, ICT professionals, policy makers, entrepreneurs, academics and individuals are waiting for this flagship event said Derrick Ferdinandus, Chairman of INFOTEL 2014 Organizing Committee. There will be over 300 stalls this time and we offer dedicated pavilions for different solutions, technologies and industry sectors within ICT, he added.
A substantial number of local and international brands of software, hardware and digital devices, ICT education and training, systems integration, mobile applications, cloud computing, computer gaming and emerging technologies will be displayed at INFOTEL 2014. The exhibition also provides opportunities for start-up firms and emerging local brands to demonstrate their capabilities to a large audience in one place.
INFOTEL is a time tested exposition and it has been evolving with added features over the years offering more and more benefits to sponsors and exhibitors said Chinthaka Wijewickrama, Chairman of FITIS. In par with the theme of a smarter tomorrow one can expect an array of solutions with state of the art features and technologies from smart phones to smart homes and enterprises. As the venue is the most prestigious and convenient location, exhibitors and visitors will have more spacious show with no logistic constraints, he said. Given the success of the previous INFOTEL exhibitions, we anticipate nearly 100,000 visitors this time, he concluded.
Supported by several government ministries, policy authorities and leading industry and professional associations, FITIS expects INFOTEL 2014 to be the place for all leading firms in ICT industry to show their presence as sponsors and exhibitors. Stall reservations are now accepted by the FITIS Secretariat.
